How it all started

My career in the carpet industry began in 1999, where I developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and design. This foundation led to the creation of Penelope James Custom-Made Carpets & Rugs in 2012 delivering bespoke flooring with integity and artistry.

The business started out with a single project in Palace Green, London W8. One client, one brief, and one guiding principle: to do the job properly. This meant hand selecting the finest materials to overseeing every detail of the design brief and the installation with the upmost care and precision.
